World Partnership Walk
The World Partnership Walk is Canada's largest annual event dedicated to increasing awareness and raising
funds to fight global poverty. Organized by volunteers in nine cities across the country, the Walk attracts
tens of thousands of Canadians united in a common effort to alleviate global poverty.
All funds raised (100%) go directly to international development initiatives. Not one cent is spent on administration.
The Walk is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada, a non-denominational, registered Canadian charity with more than 25 years of experience in finding and sharing effective and lasting solutions to the challenges of global poverty.
Funds raised by the Walk help AKFC to leverage additional support from major donors like the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
It's easy to get involved:
- Become an Ambassador - Build awareness about the cause of global poverty and raise much needed funds to support poverty-fighting programs in Africa and Asia.
- OR -
- Donate to a Walk Ambassador - Show your commitment to vulnerable communities by making a secure online credit card donation to a registered walker You can also donate cash or by cheque. Any amount is welcome!
Any donation of $ 20 or more will get a receipt for tax purposes.
